MEET THE BOARD

Thanks to all of our Team Members who donate their time and talents to keep The ToTo Foundation running…

Christine Faulks - President

Waupaca Hospice Pet Therapy Coordinator

Waupaca Area Community Foundation Charter Member

“Business owner and philanthropist who transferred learned business skills from the profit to non-profit sector.  Life long lover of all God’s creatures especially animals and the elderly.  I have seen, first hand, through my work with hospice and dogs the remarkable connection that can occur especially when a person, in a nursing facility, perhaps near life’s end, strokes my dog and “remembers when”… happier times, a full life, and their precious pet, long gone but not forgotten”.   A smile fills their face with wonderful memories and I ask them “Did you own a dog before you moved to the nursing home?   The answer is always a bigger smile followed by the name of their dog”.   I have seen children in the library reading program read out loud to my dog without any hesitation or self doubt about their reading skills.”  Pet therapy is a gift and bond from our animals to humans.

“I enjoy being a part of the ToTo Board and building awareness in our community through our organization’s efforts and initiatives. The connection between animals and people go beyond simply owning a pet.  We can provide so many beneficial opportunities through animals in such areas as therapy and rehab, safety in schools and community, education for children, health assistance for elderly and aging.  Connecting people within the community with animals is our core foundation.  Toto continues to expand its outreach to several different areas of need.  I am proud to be part of this organization.”

If there’s a good cause, I’m on it. Most of my extracurricular energies have been dedicated to supporting the arts, so it’s particularly interesting to contribute in such a unique and exciting way. The mission of ToTo Foundation is simple and clear. And the path to wellness by way of interaction between people and animals is something to which we can all relate. The passion and dedication of ToTo’s board members and volunteers is inspiring…and the reason I am involved. Woof-woof to wellness and the joy of life!
